The puppies

The planning of a litter may be the hardest part, but it is surely the most fascinating and stimulating one of my job. Puppies are the result of the union of the parents’ morpho-behavioral characteristics that are combined together to higlight the qualities and minimize the potential flaws. This complex reasoning requires time and implies the knowledge of not own subjects,  but most importantly the knowledge of the bloodlines these subjects are mating with. A fundamental factor is personal taste, that is the idea of “own” kind of dog and the peculiarity that is to be obtained from every single mating. I believe that the uniformity of type is one of the top goals at which a breeder must aim, together with good health and a balanced and pleasant character. However, even in the most morphologically homogeneous litter there are subjects that differ temperament-wise: I observe the puppies every day and take notes about all their progress to identify the single peculiarities and manage to assign them to the families that are the best fit. With this in mind, I pose to the aspiring future owners some questions about their lifestyle, expectations about their puppy and the environment he/she is going to live in, I ensure that they know and understand exactly what the choice of having a dog implies: a precise and conscious responsibility in exchange for unlimited love and loyalty. This opinion of mine has been always understood and supported, and has given excellent results. The puppies are delivered after their ninth week, with microchip and passport-European clinical record in which all vaccination protocols and anthelmintic treatments have been noted and certified by the veterinary, together with the dog’s sanitary certificates and parental genealogical certificates.
